Eligibility Criteria for JKBOPEE Paramedical Courses 2026
Before applying, make sure you meet the required eligibility conditions for your chosen course.
12th-Based Paramedical Diploma Courses
To apply for paramedical diploma courses, you must:
- You must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh.
(For Ladakh candidates, an ST certificate issued by the competent authority will be accepted as a domicile certificate.) - Your age should not exceed 35 years as of 01 January 2026.
- You must have passed 10+2 (12th class) with Science subjects from a recognized board or university.
If you are appearing in the 12th exam in 2026, you can still apply. However, you must pass your exam before the CET result or counselling date. Failing to do so will lead to cancellation of your application.
Medical Record Technician (MRT) Course (Only in SKIMS)
To apply for the MRT course, you must fulfill the following:
- You must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh.
(For Ladakh candidates, an ST certificate will be treated as a valid domicile proof.) - Age Limit: Your age should be between 17 to 28 years as of 31 December 2026.
- Educational Qualification:
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board in any stream
- Minimum marks required:
- 50% for Open Merit candidates
- 40% for Reserved Category candidates
Students appearing in the 12th exam in 2026 can also apply. But you must pass the exam before the CET result or counselling process, otherwise your candidature will be cancelled.
